Starting May 15, 2025 the guesthouse units will be closed for renovations. There will be no retreats or guest rooms available until late summer. We will post on this site when the guesthouse will reopen as soon as we know it. Thanks for your patience and understanding as we refurbish the units to make them more safe and more accommodating for our retreatants. Blessings.

Private Retreats
Retreats are open to both men and women based on room availability.
Guesthouse retreats are undirected. A library is available with books, CDs and tapes. Our grounds provide ample opportunity for individual reflection.

Reservations
Reservations are taken up to four months in advance and can be placed by either emailing requested dates to guesthouse@trappistabbey.org or by calling 503-852-0107 Monday through Friday. Please leave a message and we will return your call.
Note that check-in is only on Mondays or Fridays. A minimum of at least 2 nights is required and there is a maximum of 10 nights to accommodate as many people wishing to go on retreat as possible.
At this time, retreatants must be vaccinated and we request that anyone feeling unwell to not come on retreat.
We require an $80 non-refundable, non-transferrable deposit on all reservations.
ARRIVAL
We request retreatants to check in between 2 PM and 5 PM on the day of arrival. Please notify the guest house if you will be delayed.
Upon arrival, we will provide you access to your room and the shared facilities. You will also be provided a schedule of services, if you wish to attend.
There is no smoking in our facilities. No children or pets are permitted. Cell phone service is limited as is wi-fi.
Cost
We ask a donation of at least $80 per day for overnight accommodations to offset the cost of meals and boarding.
Day Retreats
Small rooms are available for day use only and are open Monday - Saturday. Meals are included as part of this offering. There is a $40 deposit required for reservations which covers the cost of stay. Day retreatants may check in after 7:30 AM and are requested to vacate the room by 7:30 PM.
