Retreats at the Abbey

 

Private Retreats:

     Retreats are undirected, however monks are available for a spiritual direction session upon request. A library is available as well as a wide assortment of audio tapes at Bethany House.

 

Day Rooms:

     Small rooms are available for day use only. Meals are included in this arrangement, and we ask a donation of $20 per day. Guests are limited to one day per month for use of our day rooms.

 

Reservations:

     Reservations are taken up to four months in advance and can be placed by calling 503-852-0107 between 9:00 am and noon weekdays.

 

* We prefer telephone reservations so availability might be discussed and confirmation made.

 

* Because of space availability, guests are limited to one stay of seven nights and one stay of three nights per year.

 

*Suggested arrival time is between 2:00 and 7:00 pm. Unless the reservation extends throughout the day of departure, check-out time is 10:00 am.

 

*(No smoking in our facilities. No children or pets, please.)

 

Cost:

     We ask a donation of at least $50 per day for overnight accommodations. Actual cost to the monks for the operation of the guest house facilities is nearly $60 per day. We are grateful to those who are able to help us cover these costs.
